Patio string lights
Bistro lights over patios, pergolas and decks.
Path lights, uplights on trees and accent lighting on your home, working every night of the year.
Landscape lighting is low-voltage outdoor lighting that stays in place all year: path lights along walks, uplights on trees and walls, and accent lights on steps and planting beds. Pronto designs the layout and installs it. As with our Christmas work, you buy the fixtures and we tell you exactly what to get.
Christmas lights are for six weeks. Landscape lighting is for the other forty-six. It makes the walk to the door safer, shows off the trees you have spent years growing and gives the house a presence after dark.
Good landscape lighting is quiet. You notice the tree, the wall or the path, and you do not notice the fixture.
Most yards use a mix of all three.
Low fixtures that light the ground along walks, steps and driveways.
For safe footing.
Fixtures at ground level aimed up at trees, columns and walls.
For height and drama.
Small lights for beds, boulders, water features and low walls.
For detail.
Landscape lighting is mostly about placement. Too many fixtures and the yard looks like a runway. Too few and there are dark gaps.

They do different jobs, and many homes have both.

We aim each light, then set the timer or photocell so the system runs itself.

Yes. The systems we install run on low voltage from a transformer that plugs into an outdoor outlet.
No. You buy the fixtures, transformer and cable, and we tell you exactly what to get after we have planned the layout.
Often. If the transformer has spare capacity, new fixtures can join the existing runs. We check this before we quote.
By a timer, a photocell that switches them on at dusk, or an app, depending on the transformer you choose.
Yes. Common causes are a failed lamp or fixture, a cut cable or a transformer that has tripped.
Yes. LED is the standard choice now. It uses less power, so one transformer can run more fixtures.
