A lit home without the ladder work

Quick answer

Pronto installs Christmas lights on homes across Thousand Oaks and Ventura County. You rent or buy the lights. We plan the layout, install it, fix it if a section goes out and take it down in January.

Hanging lights on a two-story home means a tall ladder, a steep roof and a lot of clips. Most people would rather spend that Saturday on something else. That is the job we do.

We start with what you want to see from the street. Some homes need a clean roofline and nothing more. Others add wrapped trees, lit shrubs and a row of stake lights up the walk. We measure each part, tell you what to rent or buy and install it in one visit where the home allows.

What we can light on your home

Start with one part or combine all three. Each picture shows what that part adds.

Lighting a storefront or a community entrance? See commercial Christmas lighting. Want lights that stay up all year? See permanent Christmas lights.

The lights are yours. The ladder work is ours.

Pronto is an installation company. We do not sell or lease lights, so you choose what goes on your home. Customers get their lights in one of three ways.

Rent

Rent your lights for the season and return them after takedown. There is nothing to store, and you can change the look next year.

Good for a first season, or if you like a new look each year.

Buy

Buy your lights once and use them every year. We tell you the lengths, bulb type and clips to get, so nothing is wasted.

Good if you plan to decorate the same way for several years.

Use your own

Already have outdoor lights? We check that every strand is outdoor-rated and working before it goes up.

Good if last year’s lights are still in the garage.

Not sure which way to go? Send a quote request. We measure what you want lit, then tell you exactly what to rent or buy.

How installation works

  2. 2We measure and plan

We look at your roofline, trees and power. Then we send a clear price and a list of the lights to rent or buy.

  3. 3We install

Our crew hangs everything, sets the timers and walks you through it before leaving.

  4. 4We maintain and take down

If a section goes out, call us. After the holidays we take everything down and pack it for you.

A layout that suits your home

Two homes on the same street can need very different lighting. A long single-story roofline reads well with one clean line of large bulbs. A tall home with several peaks looks better when every level is outlined.

We walk the front of your home with that in mind and suggest a layout. You choose the color and how far to take it.

  • Warm white for a classic look
  • Multicolor for a brighter, playful look
  • A mix: white on the roofline, color on the trees

What affects the price

Every home is quoted on its own. These four things move the number most.

What we look atWhy it matters
Roofline lengthMore feet of roofline means more lights, more clips and more time on the ladder.
Height and pitchTwo-story homes and steep roofs take longer to light safely than single-story homes.
Trees and shrubsA wrapped trunk is quick. A tall canopy takes many more strands and a longer visit.
Power and timersOutlet locations decide how cords are run and how many timers the layout needs.

Residential installation questions

Have a different question? Call (213) 800-4951 or see all questions.

Do you supply the Christmas lights?

No. Pronto is an installation company, so you rent or buy the lights and we do the rest. If you are not sure what to get, we measure what you want lit and tell you the lengths, bulb type and clips to order.

Can you install lights I already own?

Yes. Bring out what you have and we check that every strand is rated for outdoor use and working before it goes up. If something needs replacing, we tell you before install day.

Do you install on two-story homes and tile roofs?

Yes. We light one and two-story homes, including the tile roofs that are common here. Tell us about your roof in the quote request so we arrive with the right ladders and clips.

When should I book my Christmas light installation?

October and early November give you the most choice of dates. The calendar fills quickly as Thanksgiving gets closer, so book early if you want your lights on by the first week of December.

What happens if a light goes out during the season?

Call (213) 800-4951 and tell us which section is out. We schedule a visit and fix it. See repair and maintenance for how service visits work.

Do you take the lights down after the holidays?

Yes. We schedule removal and takedown in January, take everything down and pack your lights so they are ready to store or return.
