Lights, clips and cords taken down and packed in January.
Half a strand out, a tripped outlet or a line the wind pulled down. Tell us what you see and we schedule a visit to fix it.
Pronto repairs Christmas light displays during the season: dead sections, flickering strands, tripped outlets, timers that have drifted and lines pulled loose by wind or rain. Call (213) 800-4951, tell us what you see, and we schedule a visit.
Outdoor lights live a hard life. They sit in sun, wind and rain for six weeks, and one bad connection can take out a whole section.
Most faults are small and quick to fix once someone is on the ladder. The hard part is finding which bulb, plug or outlet caused it. That is what a repair visit is for.
A quick guide to what you are seeing.
| What you see | Likely cause | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| One section is out and the rest works | A loose bulb, a failed socket or a blown fuse in that strand. | Find the fault, replace the part and test the strand. |
| Everything is out | A tripped outdoor outlet, or a timer that has lost its setting. | Reset the outlet, check why it tripped and reset the timer. |
| Lights flicker in wind or rain | Moisture in a connection, or a plug that has worked loose. | Dry and remake the connection and lift it off the ground. |
| The outlet trips again and again | Water reaching a connection, or too many strands on one circuit. | Protect the connection or split the load across outlets. |
| A line is sagging | Clips have let go, often after strong wind. | Replace the clips and reset the line. |
| Colors or patterns are wrong | A smart controller or app that needs to be reset. | Reconnect the controller and restore your scenes. |
Santa Ana winds and winter rain are hard on a display, and both tend to arrive after the lights are up.

These are safe to do from the ground and solve a surprising number of calls.
Please stay off the roof and the ladder. That part is our job.

Yes. We repair displays put up by homeowners and by other installers. Tell us what is wrong and where the lights are.
Most strands are wired in sections. One loose bulb, a failed socket or a blown fuse can take out a whole section while the rest stays on.
Usually water has reached a connection, or too many strands share one circuit. Both can be fixed: we protect or raise the connection, or split the load across outlets.
Yes. We set timers so the lights come on at dusk and turn off when you choose. We also fit photocell controls that switch the lights on when it gets dark.
Your install quote says how repair visits are handled and what, if anything, they cost. For lights we did not install, we quote the visit before we come out.
