Landscape lighting
Path, garden and accent lights that work all year.
Bistro lights over patios, pergolas, decks and courtyards, hung at an even height and built to stay up.
Pronto installs string lights over patios, pergolas, decks and restaurant courtyards. We plan the pattern, set the anchor points, run a support cable on longer spans and hang the lights at an even height. You buy the lights, and we tell you what else the layout needs.
String lights are the fastest way to make a patio somewhere people want to sit. They are also easy to hang badly: tied to a gutter, sagging in the middle and down after the first windy night.
The lights are the easy part. What matters is what they hang from.
We suggest one after we see the space.
Straight lines across the space at even spacing. Clean, bright and easy to keep level.
Good for rectangular patios.
One line crossing back and forth. It covers a wide patio with fewer anchor points.
Good for wide or uneven spaces.
Lights follow the edge of the patio or pergola and leave the middle open.
Good under a pergola or beside a pool.
Four choices to make before you buy.
| Choice | What to know |
|---|---|
| LED or incandescent | LED bulbs use far less power and run cool. Most new sets are LED. |
| Glass or shatter-resistant | Shatter-resistant bulbs are worth it over hard patios and pool decks. |
| Light or heavy cord | Heavier, commercial-grade sets cost more and last longer outdoors. |
| Dimmable or not | A dimmer lets the same lights work for dinner and for a party. Check that the set is dimmable. |
Send your city and phone number, and tell us roughly how big the patio is. The form cannot take attachments, so email photos of your home to prontochristmaslights@gmail.com.
We choose the pattern and the anchor points, and tell you what to buy.
Anchors and cable go up first, then the lights, then the timer or dimmer.

Yes, if the set is rated for outdoor use and hung on proper anchors, with a support cable on longer spans. Commercial-grade sets hold up best.
We use posts. They can stand in weighted planters or be mounted to a deck, wall or fence post.
No. You buy the lights and we install them. After we see the space, we tell you the length and type to get.
Electrical code limits how lights can be placed over and near a pool. We plan the layout to keep lights and cords at a safe distance from the water, which usually means lighting the deck around the pool.
Yes. Most LED sets can run on an outdoor timer, and dimmable sets can run on an outdoor dimmer.
